THE CATCH

The engagement in C-FER9 was over almost as soon as it started, but the damage was severe. Five pilots were involved, and the fight centered on a single Praxis that was eventually taken apart by a small group of attackers, all also flying Praxises. With no drawn-out exchange on record, the clash suggests a fast interception or close-range trap rather than a prolonged fleet action.

THE PRESSURE BUILDS

The attacking side applied enough sustained damage to bring the target down, with Ian Corvia credited with the final blow after dealing the largest share of damage. Spicy Dad and Saint Fluffy also contributed heavily, while an unaligned Serpentis Dreadnought appears in the list of attackers, adding an unusual edge to the encounter. That combination may indicate the target was caught in a situation where conventional escape options were already closing off.

THE LOSSES

The destruction of the Praxis stripped away more than a hull. A Republic Fleet Large Cap Battery was lost outright, while a Caldari Navy Large Graviton Smartbomb was split between destruction and drop, alongside a Large Capacitor Control Circuit I and a Cap Recharger II. The ship itself accounted for 576.1 million ISK in destroyed value, with another 663.5 million ISK dropped into the aftermath, making this a sharp blow even by high-sec standards of pain-free arithmetic turned violent.
