Praxis Lost in 2O-EEW After Goonswarm Catch and Crack a High-Value Fit

A 1.1 billion ISK Praxis was destroyed in 2O-EEW after a small group of attackers closed in and broke the ship under concentrated fire. The loss, involving pilots from Goonswarm Federation and a single unaligned attacker, turned a brief encounter into a costly reminder that even sturdy combat hulls can disappear fast once they are pinned down.

THE CATCH

The fight in 2O-EEW was over almost as soon as it began. Five participants were involved in a short-lived skirmish that ended with the destruction of Handsome Jack Bloodwheel’s Praxis, flown under the Goonswarm Federation banner by way of Deadspace Excavations. The engagement appears to have centered on a single expensive target, with the Praxis carrying a fit heavy enough to push the total value of the loss to 1.1 billion ISK.

THE PRESSURE

The attackers committed four pilots, all flying Praxises, and that concentration of force suggests the target was not simply bumped into trouble but deliberately engaged. Nightmare TheDreamwalker, in a Praxis, delivered the final blow after contributing the most damage of the group. Mynameis-Viktor and Puncika, also in Praxises, added sustained fire that likely left the victim with little room to recover or disengage. A lone unidentified attacker in a Domination Dreadnought also appears in the exchange, hinting at heavier support nearby or a wider mix of threat than the final tally alone would suggest.

THE COST

What makes the loss stand out is not just the hull, but what was inside it. The Praxis carried and lost a number of valuable modules, including Domination Large Proton Smartbombs, a Large Capacitor Control Circuit I, a Cap Recharger II, and a Large Proton Smartbomb II. The destroyed and dropped fittings split the value between wreckage and salvage, but the outcome still left more than three-quarters of a billion ISK in destruction and over 300 million ISK recovered from the field.

THE AFTERMATH

For a ship meant to be sturdy and flexible, the Praxis instead became a prize handed over in a tight local fight. The brief engagement in 2O-EEW does not read like a sprawling battle, but it does underline how quickly a high-value fit can be punished when a small group gets close enough to keep the pressure on. In a universe where expensive hulls are often as important for what they represent as for what they do, this loss will be remembered as a sharp and costly catch.

Scan Stakan Killed 55 Ships and Lost 186 in the Same Fight

E-WMT7 produced 376 killmails, somewhere around 134 billion ISK of wreckage, and one battleship worth more than a force auxiliary, a Nestor and a Typhoon Fleet Issue put together. The number that stings harder is 186. That is how many ships Scan Stakan lost in the same engagement in which they killed 55 - top of the kill list and top of the loss list, in a single three-and-a-half-hour afternoon.

x Never Regret x Takes 40 Kills as Raa Burns 26 Capitals

At 17:28 UTC, a Retriever died in Raa. Retrievers die constantly, and in Devoid that is more or less the job description. This one is only worth mentioning because of what followed it: for the next hundred minutes, a system on the edge of Amarr space turned into a scrapyard, and by the time the last shot landed at 19:10, 87 ships had been destroyed and the bill had reached 157.4 billion ISK. Almost half of that was one Revelation.

Rattini Tribe and Prime Directive. Split Dal's 192 Billion ISK Bill

An Amarr Shuttle belonging to G0lden Fleet. died in Dal at 16:15 UTC. That is not normally the opening line of a 192 billion ISK story, but Dal spent the next three hours and forty-one minutes making sure nobody forgot it. By the time the last capsule in the system - belonging to x Never Regret x - came apart at 19:56, 557 pilots had produced 516 confirmed losses, fourteen capital ships had been wrecked, and the Heimatar system had eaten just over 192 billion ISK. That is not a skirmish somebody stumbled into. That is a decision, made over and over, for the better part of four hours.

Brave Newbies Topped Both Sides of the HY-RWO Ledger

The first ship to die in HY-RWO was a Rokh worth 44.7 billion ISK, and it set the tone for everything that came after. Over the following hour, 1,883 pilots fought in the Catch system, 243 ships were destroyed, and around 205 billion ISK was removed from the economy one killmail at a time. Not a single capital ship died. In a fight of that size, the most expensive losses were ordinary battleships, fitted in a way that makes the word 'ordinary' sound absurd.
