Praxis Crushed in 7D-PAT Skirmish as Out of the Blue. Claims the Final Blow

A Fraternity. Praxis worth 1.5 billion ISK was brought down in 7D-PAT after a brief but sharp skirmish that left the hull wrecked and much of its fitting lost with it. The ship was finished off by huabuyu flying a Scythe Fleet Issue for Out of the Blue., capping a fast encounter that appears to have turned on concentrated damage and tight pursuit.

THE CATCH

The fight in 7D-PAT was small in scale but heavy in consequence. Seven pilots were tied to the engagement, with Out of the Blue. and Fraternity. facing off over a single high-value target. The Praxis at the centre of it was no ordinary throwaway hull: its value alone made it the kind of ship that draws attention the moment it appears in local.

THE BREAK

The destruction was largely concentrated around the Praxis itself. GlaciesI of Fraternity., flying under Chaos arbiter, lost the ship after taking the brunt of the damage, while huabuyu in a Scythe Fleet Issue delivered the final blow for Out of the Blue. The attack appears to have been sustained and deliberate, with multiple attackers piling on enough pressure to overwhelm the cruiser-sized strategic threat before it could get free.

THE LOSSES

The cost of the kill climbed to 1.5 billion ISK, with 1.1 billion ISK destroyed and 364.1 million ISK recovered from the wreck. Among the fitting lost were a Republic Fleet Large Cap Battery, two Caldari Navy Large Graviton Smartbombs, a Cap Recharger II, and Large Low Friction Nozzle Joints II. Those modules suggest a heavily invested Praxis built to do more than simply absorb fire, making the loss sting well beyond the hull itself.

WHY IT MATTERS

For Out of the Blue., the kill is a clean trophy from a brief hunt; for Fraternity., it is the sort of loss that lingers because of its price and the effort already sunk into the ship. In a fight that lasted only an instant on the clock, the result was decided decisively, and the wreck left behind in 7D-PAT stands as the only lasting trace of the engagement.
