A Phoenix Navy Issue is not the sort of ship that disappears quietly, and this one was pinned down hard enough for attackers to bring it to ruin within the same moment the clash was recorded.
THE PRICE OF EXPOSURE
The destroyed ship belonged to Evil Death of Goonswarm Federation and carried a total value of 8.4 billion ISK. Of that, 6.2 billion ISK was destroyed outright, with 2.1 billion ISK recovered as drops. The cargo and fittings tell the story of a vessel built for serious work: nitrogen isotopes, Caldari Navy Mjolnir Torpedoes, Mjolnir Rage Torpedoes, and Rogue Drone Infestation Data were among the items lost or scattered in the wreckage.
THE FINISH
The final blow came from Stop he's blue in a Ragnarok, after the target had already taken heavy damage from an unidentified attacker firing Scourge Fury Cruise Missiles. The attacker count on the loss suggests at least two enemies were involved in bringing the Phoenix Navy Issue down, with Republic Military School named among the groups on the offensive. However it happened in the final moments, the capital was left with no answer to the pressure closing around it.
THE CONSEQUENCE
For Goonswarm Federation, the loss is significant less for the size of the fight than for the value erased in a single strike. Capital ships are not meant to vanish easily, and when one does, the shock is felt well beyond the wreck itself. In WO-GC0, that sudden destruction leaves behind a reminder that even a brief encounter can produce an expensive and memorable result.
