Panther and Astrahus Lost in Curatores Veritatis Strike in T-RPFU

A Curatores Veritatis Alliance strike in T-RPFU ended with a Panther and an Astrahus destroyed, a 3.8 billion ISK blow that appears to have come in the middle of a concentrated hunt. The Panther alone accounted for most of the value lost, and the fight drew more than a hundred pilots into the area before the target was finished off by covert fire.

THE HUNT CLOSES

The engagement in T-RPFU unfolded over just a few minutes, but it carried the feel of a properly sprung trap. Curatores Veritatis Alliance was the attacking force on the field, while Honorable Third Party took the losses. The numbers suggest a crowded fight rather than a quick ambush: 110 participants were involved, and the action ended with two ships gone and no room left for a clean escape.

THE PANTHER FALLS

The most costly loss was the Panther flown by TrooperOfDreams of Honorable Third Party’s O C C U P Y corporation. It was worth 2.1 billion ISK and appears to have been the main prize of the encounter. Victor Invictus, flying a Purifier for Curatores Veritatis Alliance, secured the final blow after the covert wing had already built up pressure around the target. Support came from multiple bombers and stealth platforms, including Manfred Stahler in a Hound and Woof1977 in a Manticore, suggesting the Panther was pinned down and worn through rather than caught in a single lucky hit.

THE EXTRA COST

The Panther did not go quietly. More than 35,000 Hydrogen Isotopes were recovered, while much of the ammunition carried for the ship was either destroyed or spilled in the wreckage. The loss of Barrage L, Hail L, Republic Fleet Phased Plasma L, and Republic Fleet EMP L points to a fitted combat vessel being taken apart in place, not merely abandoned. The kill also left 460.3 million ISK in drops, but the destruction still accounted for 1.6 billion ISK in lost value overall.

AFTER THE SMOKE CLEARS

An Astrahus was also destroyed in the same incident, adding structure loss to the ship destruction and turning the fight into more than a single expensive wreck. For Honorable Third Party, the result was a harsh reminder that even a strong ship can be isolated and broken once the hunters settle in. For Curatores Veritatis Alliance, it was a cleanly taken prize and a visible demonstration of control in T-RPFU, where the fight appears to have ended decisively in their favour.

That is not a skirmish somebody stumbled into. That is a decision, made over and over, for the better part of four hours.
