THE CATCH
The Paladin was pinned down in a fast, local engagement that appears to have developed suddenly. With 17 pilots tied to the incident overall, the fight was small in number but heavy in consequence, and the Fraternity. pilot at the center of it had no room to treat the hull as expendable. Once a marauder is committed, every second matters; here, those seconds were enough for the hunters to close the net.
THE ATTACKERS CLOSE IN
The damage came from a mixed attack force identified as Unaligned attackers 99002974, with the final blow delivered by a Leshak. Supporting ships included Proteus hulls and other unidentified attackers, suggesting a coordinated group built to apply pressure quickly and keep the target from slipping away. One Proteus dealt more than 10,000 damage by itself, while the Paladin absorbed a heavy mix of incoming fire from multiple directions.
THE BREAK
The Paladin did not make it out. After the ship was stripped of 1.3 billion ISK in destroyed value and 374.5 million ISK in dropped loot, the field was left littered with ammunition and modules that point to the brutal efficiency of the attack. Scorch L, Conflagration L, Imperial Navy Multifrequency L, and Gamma L all feature among the losses and drops, underlining that the ship was fully armed for serious work when it was caught.
THE COST
For Fraternity., the loss of a Paladin is more than a single hull gone missing from a roster. It is an expensive, high-end ship destroyed in a brief engagement, and the kind of setback that can sting even when no larger battle follows. For the hunters, it was a clean prize: one capital-class punch of a marauder, taken down by a force that appears to have chosen the moment well and finished the job decisively.
