Paladin Caught and Cut Down in Fasse Ambush

A Dragon Riders Legion Paladin was caught and destroyed in Fasse in a sharp 28-second engagement that appears to have been decided by a concentrated Imperial Space Wizards strike. The fight ended with 18 pilots on the field and about 4.7 billion ISK in losses, but the Paladin was the clear prize: a 1.6 billion ISK battleship brought down before it could slip away.

THE CATCH

The engagement in Fasse was brief, but it was anything but trivial. Dragon Riders Legion lost a Paladin flown by Xcaliba of ChenDuWuyanzu, and the ship’s size and value immediately made it the centrepiece of the fight. Imperial Space Wizards fielded the heavier pressure, with 13 attackers involved in the destruction, suggesting the target was isolated and then quickly overwhelmed.

THE BREAK

The attackers’ damage profile points to a coordinated close-range assault. Multiple Kronos hulls from Imperial Space Wizards did the bulk of the work, with Imperial Space Adept2 in a Kronos landing the final blow. The Paladin’s fittings were chewed through in the process, including ammunition and modules that were either destroyed or left behind when the ship went down, reinforcing how suddenly the fight seems to have turned against it.

THE LOSSES

The Paladin accounted for the largest single loss in the encounter, worth around 1.6 billion ISK on its own, out of total losses listed at 4.7 billion ISK. Three ships were destroyed in all, but the battleship was the one that gave the clash its weight. For Dragon Riders Legion, that is a painful sort of loss: not just the hull, but the disruption and exposure that come with losing a high-value combat ship in a matter of seconds.

THE SIGNIFICANCE

Fasse’s brief exchange reads like a successful hunt rather than a prolonged fleet brawl. Imperial Space Wizards appear to have committed enough force to ensure the target had no room to recover once the net closed. In New Eden, that kind of fast, decisive destruction often matters as much for the message it sends as for the ISK it erases: even a Paladin can vanish quickly when the hunters arrive with the right ships at the right moment.

Scan Stakan Killed 55 Ships and Lost 186 in the Same Fight

E-WMT7 produced 376 killmails, somewhere around 134 billion ISK of wreckage, and one battleship worth more than a force auxiliary, a Nestor and a Typhoon Fleet Issue put together. The number that stings harder is 186. That is how many ships Scan Stakan lost in the same engagement in which they killed 55 - top of the kill list and top of the loss list, in a single three-and-a-half-hour afternoon.

x Never Regret x Takes 40 Kills as Raa Burns 26 Capitals

At 17:28 UTC, a Retriever died in Raa. Retrievers die constantly, and in Devoid that is more or less the job description. This one is only worth mentioning because of what followed it: for the next hundred minutes, a system on the edge of Amarr space turned into a scrapyard, and by the time the last shot landed at 19:10, 87 ships had been destroyed and the bill had reached 157.4 billion ISK. Almost half of that was one Revelation.

Rattini Tribe and Prime Directive. Split Dal's 192 Billion ISK Bill

An Amarr Shuttle belonging to G0lden Fleet. died in Dal at 16:15 UTC. That is not normally the opening line of a 192 billion ISK story, but Dal spent the next three hours and forty-one minutes making sure nobody forgot it. By the time the last capsule in the system - belonging to x Never Regret x - came apart at 19:56, 557 pilots had produced 516 confirmed losses, fourteen capital ships had been wrecked, and the Heimatar system had eaten just over 192 billion ISK. That is not a skirmish somebody stumbled into. That is a decision, made over and over, for the better part of four hours.

Brave Newbies Topped Both Sides of the HY-RWO Ledger

The first ship to die in HY-RWO was a Rokh worth 44.7 billion ISK, and it set the tone for everything that came after. Over the following hour, 1,883 pilots fought in the Catch system, 243 ships were destroyed, and around 205 billion ISK was removed from the economy one killmail at a time. Not a single capital ship died. In a fight of that size, the most expensive losses were ordinary battleships, fitted in a way that makes the word 'ordinary' sound absurd.
