A Pacifier worth 1.1 billion ISK was destroyed in Jesoyeh in a swift encounter that left little room for escape. The covert ops frigate, flown by Friday Sirober of Luna Domina Aspera, was caught by an unaligned attacker flying a Fire Cloud and broken before help or distance could matter.

THE CATCH

The fight in Jesoyeh lasted only moments, but it ended with a costly result. Friday Sirober’s Pacifier was destroyed in a two-participant engagement that appears to have favoured the lone attacker from the start. The final blow was delivered by an unknown pilot in a Fire Cloud, bringing the covert frigate down before it could slip away.

THE PRIZE

For a single ship loss, the damage was substantial. The Pacifier’s destruction accounted for 531.9 million ISK in wrecked value, while 615.7 million ISK was recovered from the field, putting the total loss at 1.1 billion ISK. That price tag alone makes the kill stand out, but the loss of a covert-operations hull also suggests a ship that had been trusted to move quietly and stay alive.

THE CARGO LOST

The wreck also tells part of the story. Among the items destroyed or dropped were Warpath Operational Intel, Warpath Strategic Data, Sisters Core Scanner Probes, and a Historic Capsuleer Day Clothing Crate. The presence of strategic and scanning equipment suggests the Pacifier was doing more than merely travelling through Jesoyeh, though the report does not show exactly what mission brought it there.

THE CONSEQUENCE

With only one attacker credited and one ship destroyed, this was not a large battle so much as a sharp and expensive interruption. Even so, losing a Pacifier is never routine. For Luna Domina Aspera, the loss removes a specialised covert asset; for the attacker, it was a precise and profitable strike that ended before the target could turn the tables.
