Orthrus Caught and Crumpled in MN-Q26 Fight

A Goryn Clade Orthrus was brought down in MN-Q26 after a 15-pilot clash drew Goonswarm Federation onto the field and left the cruiser fighting under pressure it could not shake. The ship was destroyed in a 1.4 billion ISK engagement that ended with the Orthrus breaking apart under concentrated fire from a mixed Goonswarm group.

THE CATCH

The fight in MN-Q26 was small on paper, but expensive where it counted. An Orthrus flown by Shunsuke Amouh of Goryn Clade was the clear prize of the encounter, and once it was committed the ship became the focus of a Goonswarm Federation response that included 12 attackers in the final blow sequence. In a system where every warp-in can decide whether a fast cruiser lives long enough to escape, the Orthrus appears to have been the target that slipped into danger at exactly the wrong moment.

THE PRESSURE BUILDS

Goonswarm’s damage came from a compact but flexible group: Sleipnir, Vagabonds, and an Osprey Navy Issue all took part in wearing the Orthrus down. Dema1’s Sleipnir led the damage listed on the attackers, while PsychicSword, Justin Chronos, and GuardianMymMei in Vagabonds helped keep the pressure on. The final blow came from Autumnchin in an Osprey Navy Issue, a reminder that in New Eden, the ship that lands the killing shot is not always the ship that does the heavy lifting.

THE BREAK

The Orthrus was not a cheap hull to lose. With total losses reaching 1.4 billion ISK, most of that value was destroyed outright, while only a smaller portion was recovered as drops. The ship’s missile racks and ammunition were caught in the collapse as well, with large quantities of light missiles destroyed or left behind in the wreckage. That kind of loss is more than a line item; for a fast heavy assault cruiser like the Orthrus, it is the kind of mistake that turns a roaming fight into a painful write-off.

THE AFTERMATH

This was the sort of engagement that can vanish into the noise of low-level combat, but the value involved makes it stand out. A 15-participant clash in MN-Q26 produced a single, high-impact loss rather than a prolonged fleet exchange, and that is often enough to change how the next trip through the region feels. For Goryn Clade, the Orthrus is gone. For Goonswarm Federation, MN-Q26 produced a clean and costly catch.

Scan Stakan Killed 55 Ships and Lost 186 in the Same Fight

E-WMT7 produced 376 killmails, somewhere around 134 billion ISK of wreckage, and one battleship worth more than a force auxiliary, a Nestor and a Typhoon Fleet Issue put together. The number that stings harder is 186. That is how many ships Scan Stakan lost in the same engagement in which they killed 55 - top of the kill list and top of the loss list, in a single three-and-a-half-hour afternoon.

x Never Regret x Takes 40 Kills as Raa Burns 26 Capitals

At 17:28 UTC, a Retriever died in Raa. Retrievers die constantly, and in Devoid that is more or less the job description. This one is only worth mentioning because of what followed it: for the next hundred minutes, a system on the edge of Amarr space turned into a scrapyard, and by the time the last shot landed at 19:10, 87 ships had been destroyed and the bill had reached 157.4 billion ISK. Almost half of that was one Revelation.

Rattini Tribe and Prime Directive. Split Dal's 192 Billion ISK Bill

An Amarr Shuttle belonging to G0lden Fleet. died in Dal at 16:15 UTC. That is not normally the opening line of a 192 billion ISK story, but Dal spent the next three hours and forty-one minutes making sure nobody forgot it. By the time the last capsule in the system - belonging to x Never Regret x - came apart at 19:56, 557 pilots had produced 516 confirmed losses, fourteen capital ships had been wrecked, and the Heimatar system had eaten just over 192 billion ISK. That is not a skirmish somebody stumbled into. That is a decision, made over and over, for the better part of four hours.

Brave Newbies Topped Both Sides of the HY-RWO Ledger

The first ship to die in HY-RWO was a Rokh worth 44.7 billion ISK, and it set the tone for everything that came after. Over the following hour, 1,883 pilots fought in the Catch system, 243 ships were destroyed, and around 205 billion ISK was removed from the economy one killmail at a time. Not a single capital ship died. In a fight of that size, the most expensive losses were ordinary battleships, fitted in a way that makes the word 'ordinary' sound absurd.
