A 1.5 billion ISK Orca was caught and destroyed in 78TS-Q after a small hunting force closed in on the industrial ship and prevented any clean escape. The loss left only scraps behind and turned a routine-looking industrial presence into a costly prize for A P E X and its allies.

THE CATCH

The fight in 78TS-Q ended with an Orca going down hard, its destruction worth 1.5 billion ISK and its cargo and fittings stripped to pieces by the time the wreck cooled. Klim Sanuich, flying for Out of the Blue. through the Per astera ad astra corporation, lost the ship to an attacking group led by A P E X.

THE NET TIGHTENS

The attackers appear to have had the better of the exchange from the start. Five attackers are recorded against the Orca itself, with the broader engagement drawing in 11 participants overall. Several Widow-class ships were involved on the attacking side, suggesting a coordinated hunt rather than a casual passing engagement, while a Prospect also appeared among the attackers without contributing damage.

THE BREAK

The final blow came from craigo Lakey in a Widow, bringing the Orca’s run to an abrupt end. By the time the ship was destroyed, 1.4 billion ISK had been lost with only 90.3 million ISK in items recovered, a sharp reminder of how exposed an Orca can be once hostile forces get it pinned down. Notable industrial charges and heavy water were split between what dropped and what was destroyed, underscoring the disruption to the ship’s onboard operations as the attackers worked it over.
