The industrial ship, flown by Talarc Alarc of Xagenic Freymvork, was caught in a fight that involved nine participants and left only a modest share of its contents to be recovered.

THE CATCH

The loss centred on a single Orca, a ship that rarely appears in this kind of report without drawing attention. In Avaux, that attention proved costly. The target belonged to Xagenic Freymvork, with Talarc Alarc in command, and it was overwhelmed by attackers from Seals on the rocks and allied pilots in what appears to have been a coordinated local strike.

THE PRESSURE

The destruction was not the work of one ship alone. A Widow flown by Leatherman2 delivered the finishing blow, while a Redeemer flown by D4Ch accounted for the largest share of the damage. The engagement suggests the Orca was pinned long enough for the attackers to work through its defenses, with a small number of hunters putting sustained pressure on a much more valuable target.

THE LOSSES

The Orca was valued at 1.5 billion ISK, with roughly 1.4 billion ISK destroyed and just 76.6 million ISK dropped for recovery. Among the cargo and fittings were industrial supplies that underline the ship’s role: Heavy Water, mining charges, and equipment-related consumables. The pattern of losses indicates an expensive industrial vessel caught far from safety and unable to escape once the hunters committed.
