THE CATCH
The destruction happened in a brief but telling fight in F-TE1T, where 26 pilots were involved and Fraternity. appears to have had the upper hand when the Orca was caught. The ship, flown by Josh0792 of DECOY and xDECOYx, stood out immediately: a large industrial command ship carrying a bulky cargo of mining and support materials, and far too valuable to lose lightly.
THE BREAK
Fraternity. committed 14 attackers to the kill, with Exequror Navy Issue hulls doing much of the work. Zod Yuri delivered the final blow, but the damage had already been building from several angles. Riches Richard, Vilin Ray Wang, Catty Pangpang, and Amiya 2233 all contributed heavily, suggesting the Orca was pinned down long enough for the attackers to cycle through it methodically rather than rely on one sudden strike.
THE LOSSES
The ship was effectively stripped apart for a loss of around 1.5 billion ISK, while only about 65 million ISK in value appears to have been recovered. Among the cargo that spilled out were large quantities of Mining Laser Field Enhancement Charges, Heavy Water, Mining Laser Efficiency Charges, Mining Laser Optimization Charges, and Active Shielding Charges. For the victim, that turns the Orca from a useful industrial platform into an expensive wreck that paid out far less than its owner likely hoped.
WHY IT MATTERS
Single-ship losses do not always reshape a region, but they do mark the moments when a fleet gets careless, unlucky, or simply outmatched. In F-TE1T, the Orca’s destruction demonstrates how vulnerable a high-value industrial hull can become once it is isolated and pressure is applied. For Fraternity., it was a clean and efficient catch; for DECOY, it was a reminder that even a command ship designed around support and utility can disappear quickly when hostile ships get the timing right.
