An Orca worth 1.8 billion ISK was caught and destroyed in Uedama as L.E.G.I.O.N brought down the industrial ship with a swarm of Coercers, turning a routine-looking transit into a costly loss for kent55 Corp.

THE CATCH

The fight in Uedama was brief, but the result was severe. Kent55’s Orca, a bulky industrial hull better known for supporting mining operations than surviving focused fire, was overwhelmed by a 30-pilot engagement that left little room for escape. L.E.G.I.O.N committed at least 27 attackers to the destruction, and the ship was broken in place before it could get clear.

THE BREAKDOWN

The damage came from a concentrated assault by a tight group of Coercers, with zLegion 03, zLegion 05, zLegion 04 and zLegion 01 all contributing heavy pressure before zLegion 10 secured the final blow. That final shot came from a Coercer as well, underlining how thoroughly the attackers controlled the engagement. The Orca did manage to shed a small amount of cargo, but the bulk of its value went up with the ship.

THE LOSSES

The loss total reached 1.8 billion ISK, with about 1.7 billion ISK destroyed and only 62 million ISK recovered. Among the material lost were heavy water and mining charges, pointing to the ship’s industrial role and suggesting it was carrying the tools needed for work rather than war. For kent55 Corp, the Orca’s destruction was not just an expensive write-off but the disappearance of a key support hull.
