Orca Caught and Destroyed in Uedama Intercept

An Orca worth 1.6 billion ISK was brought down in Uedama after L.E.G.I.O.N caught the industrial ship with a 30-pilot presence in system and pinned it down long enough for the final blows to land.

THE CATCH

The loss centered on Logan Sabertooth’s Orca, flown for ISK-INVESTMENTS-CORP., which was destroyed in Uedama on June 1. The ship was an obvious prize: slow, valuable, and carrying the sort of fittings and support gear that make an Orca more than just a hull on the grid. By the time the attack ended, the ship was gone and only a small portion of its value had been recovered.

THE PRESSURE

L.E.G.I.O.N appears to have brought enough force to keep the target under control, with 27 attackers recorded in the destruction and a final blow delivered by zLegion 03 in a Coercer. The presence of multiple Coercers suggests a coordinated destroyer strike rather than a lone opportunist’s kill, and the damage profile points to the Orca being worked over quickly once it was exposed.

THE LOSSES

The destruction totaled 1.6 billion ISK, while only 43.6 million ISK worth of items appear to have been recovered. Among the lost cargo and fittings were Mining Laser Field Enhancement Charges, Federation Navy Hobgoblins, and Salvage Drone I units, with additional mining laser charges dropping from the wreck. For an industrial platform like the Orca, that combination hints at a ship carrying both operational tools and expensive support assets when it was caught.

WHY IT MATTERS

Single-ship losses like this rarely turn into headline battles on their own, but they still cut hard where it counts. An Orca represents investment, logistics, and time, and its destruction in a place like Uedama reinforces how unforgiving the route can be for anything that slips out of position. For the hunters, it was a clean and costly prize; for the owner, a very expensive reminder that even the largest industrial hulls can vanish fast when the net closes.

Big Vantus Paid 15 Ships Toward Pochven's 72 Billion ISK Tab

Of the 47 ships destroyed in Ignebaener, 46 were, in ISK terms, background noise. The 47th was a Paladin valued at just under 57.5 billion ISK - close to four-fifths of everything the system destroyed in one sitting. One hull, one pilot, one very bad moment, and the number that will define this fight long after the killboards stop updating.

Brave Newbies Lost 21 Ships in 4-07MU and Shot Back With Interest

Somewhere around 19:25 UTC, a Caracal Navy Issue died in 4-07MU and 912 pilots decided that was a reasonable invitation. Two hours later the system had produced 200 wrecks, 67.2 billion ISK of damage, and not one capital ship - just battleship after battleship feeding itself into a fight that refused to end. The killboards call it a gank. The killboards are only half right.

Solyaris Chtonium Killed Redux.'s Avatar as 1,166 Pilots Watched

The last thing an Avatar expects to be doing is dying in lowsec, but Amamake has been ruining plans for a very long time. Redux.'s Amarr Titan - one of the largest and most expensive warships in New Eden - came apart in the Heimatar system with roughly 1,166 pilots involved in the kill, and a price tag of 142.7 billion ISK attached to a single loss.

Warlock Industries Alliance Lost 52 Billion ISK. It Wasn't Even a Capital.

Warlock Industries Alliance Lost 52 Billion ISK. It Wasn't Even a Capital.

Fifty-two point nine billion ISK, gone. One killmail. Eight hundred and forty-seven pilots on the record. Amamake has swallowed fleets, capitals, and more than a few alliances' sense of direction over the years. It has rarely swallowed 52.9 billion ISK in a single ship that was not even a capital. The victim was the Sarathiel, flying under the banner of Warlock Industries Alliance. The credited killer was Minmatar Fleet Associates. And every one of those 847 names belongs to the same kill.
