THE CATCH
The fight in QFRV-2 appears to have turned on a single high-value target: an Orca flown by Spaysgirl20 of Project Oasis, from Border Worlds Excavations. Against that industrial backdrop, LowSechnaya Sholupen moved in with enough force to overwhelm the ship before it could escape. The engagement was small by fleet standards, but the stakes were not. An Orca is never a cheap loss, and this one was carrying the sort of cargo that makes hunters linger.
THE ENCIRCLEMENT
Eight attackers are listed against the final blow, while the wider engagement drew 13 participants in total. The composition suggests a compact hunt rather than a broad fleet clash, with LowSechnaya Sholupen’s ships joined by at least one pilot from GF Company. Kelly Cap’s Vedmak delivered the finishing strike, but the damage had already been spread across the target by a mixed group that included a Stabber Fleet Issue, a Lachesis, a Sabre, and an Exequror Navy Issue. That mix points to a controlled catch: tackle, pressure, and enough firepower to keep the Orca pinned.
THE FALL
When the ship finally broke, most of its value went with it. Roughly 1.4 billion ISK was destroyed, while only 58.1 million ISK dropped from the wreck. The cargo tells its own story: heavy water, compressed Kylixium II-Grade, and Kylixium II-Grade itself were among the items recovered, but not enough to soften the blow. For the pilot and corporation behind the ship, the loss of an Orca is more than an expensive wreck — it is a sharp interruption to whatever work was underway in the system.
WHY IT MATTERS
Even in a brief engagement, the destruction of an Orca carries weight. These ships are built to anchor industrial activity, not to die under hostile fire, and their loss can sting far beyond the immediate ISK figure. In QFRV-2, LowSechnaya Sholupen appears to have identified a lucrative target and executed the catch cleanly. For Project Oasis, the message is simpler: the route was not safe, the ship was exposed, and the hunters were ready.
