THE CATCH
The engagement in Frulegur was small, but it carried the kind of weight that makes industrial losses sting. On one side, Snuffed Out and allies formed the pressure that closed the trap; on the other, Death Legion of Capybaras fielded an Occator that appears to have been the clear prize. With just 13 participants in the fight, there was little room for error once the transport was found and pinned in place.
THE BREAK
The Occator, flown by Altazor of Xpensive Mistake, became the centre of the engagement almost immediately. The ship’s value alone made it a tempting target, but the numbers around the loss suggest the attackers had the advantage once contact was made. A Hyperion flown by Cucumber ares of Snuffed Out landed the final blow, while other ships in the mix added pressure and made any clean exit increasingly unlikely.
THE LOSSES
When the transport finally failed, the damage was not limited to the hull. Helium Isotopes, Imperial Navy Curator ammunition, Synth Mindflood Booster charges, and both tracking and guidance disruptor modules were among the fittings and cargo caught up in the destruction. The Occator’s loss accounted for the bulk of the value, and the accompanying capsule loss ensured there was no clean getaway at the end of the fight.
WHY IT MATTERS
For a single short clash, the result was decisive: a valuable logistics ship removed, cargo disrupted, and a pilot left with an expensive reminder that low-profile movement is rarely safe when hunters are already in the system. In a region where a transport can carry more than it first appears, the destruction of an Occator is more than a routine kill — it is a visible reminder that even modest-looking catches can turn into multi-billion ISK setbacks in an instant.
