THE CATCH
The fight unfolded in Uedama over a span of just over twenty minutes, drawing 76 participants into a clash that appears to have centred on the destruction of two haulers. HOLD MY PROBS emerged as the attacker side recorded in the data, with the heaviest damage concentrated on a single Obelisk flown by Clutchfield Bane of Band of Banners.
THE BREAK
The freighter did not go quietly. The wreckage tells the story of a ship loaded for the route, with Expanded Cargohold II and Inertial Stabilizers II among the fittings affected by the destruction. Even so, the pressure from a coordinated Catalyst strike proved enough to overcome the Obelisk's defences, and the final blow came from Watchdog-5 MOONPIRE in a Catalyst after 56 attackers had already applied damage.
THE LOSSES
The Obelisk accounted for the largest share of the damage, with 1.7 billion ISK destroyed and 3.5 billion ISK dropped from the hull and cargo. The remaining losses included a Fenrir, underlining that this was more than a single unlucky target. Navy Cap Booster 800 charges were scattered in enormous quantity, suggesting the freighter was carrying a substantial load when it was caught.
WHY IT MATTERS
For Band of Banners and The .1 Percent, the engagement in Uedama represents the sort of sharp, expensive interruption that can turn an ordinary transit into a disaster. For the attackers, it was a reminder of how quickly a high-value target can be erased once it is isolated on a busy route. In a system long known for punishment of the unwary, this one ended with a freighter wreck and a prize split across the field.
