THE STRIKE
Murder Hobos. and Snuffed Out are both listed among the attackers, with the final blow credited to vicemen flying a Bane for Murder Hobos. The supporting fire came from a small but heavy covert force that included Marshals and Redeemers, suggesting a deliberate ambush built to crack a high-value target rather than a sprawling fleet fight. The Nomad carried a costly cargo of isotopes and fitted modules, but only a fraction of its value made it out of the wreckage.
THE LOSSES
The destruction totaled 9.5 billion ISK, with 7.7 billion ISK tied to the Nomad itself. Only Vibes also lost a capsule in the same incident, a reminder that the escape attempt ended badly for more than the ship. The wreck left behind little of note beyond a small amount of dropped equipment, while much of the fuel and fitting value was destroyed with the hull.
WHY IT MATTERS
For a jump freighter, even a brief lapse in safety can be fatal, and Aunenen appears to have been the place where that risk finally caught up. The presence of multiple attacker groups and eight credited attackers suggests coordination and patience, turning the kill into a clean prize rather than a messy brawl.
