THE CATCH
The fight in H-29TM had the feel of a trap tightening around a valuable target. A single Nightmare, flown by Ruxandra Wargner of LinkNet’s Silent Knights., was pinned inside a much larger local clash that already had the shape of a serious interception. With 89 pilots present in the system, the engagement quickly outgrew a simple hunt and turned into a crowded brawl where the battleship became the obvious prize.
THE FIRE CLOSES IN
Brotherhood of Spacers appears to have committed heavily to the kill, with 66 attackers recorded against the target. The final blow came from Easy Toto in an Apocalypse Navy Issue, but the damage was spread across a hard-hitting line of navy battleships, including The Renner, SocomTedd, and santo Kashada, with additional pressure from Wrik Hoover of Snuffed Out. That mix suggests the Nightmare was not merely unlucky, but caught under sustained and coordinated fire it could not outlast.
THE COST
When the ship finally went down, the wreck left behind the sort of bill that makes even a short fight memorable. The loss totaled 1.3 billion ISK, with 1.2 billion ISK destroyed and only 153.8 million ISK recovered. Among the debris were consumables and drones that underline how quickly the ship’s resources were stripped away once the attack settled in: Navy Cap Booster 800 charges, Hornet EC-300 drones, Nanite Repair Paste, and Imperial Navy Radio L ammunition all went with it in the collapse.
WHY IT MATTERS
For LinkNet, the destruction of a Nightmare is more than a line item. It signals a failed escape or a failed stand in a system busy enough to draw near-constant pressure, and it leaves Brotherhood of Spacers with a clear statement of control over the encounter. In a fight this size, the loss of a battleship like Nightmare is the moment the engagement becomes more than noise: one expensive ship became the focal point, and the attackers made sure it did not leave H-29TM alive.
