Naglfar Fleet Issue Lost in a Wormhole Brawl as Drifter Fire Joins the Melee

A Naglfar Fleet Issue was brought down in J164511 after a fight that appears to have drawn in both capsuleers and Drifter Response Battleships, turning a relatively small encounter into a far more dangerous affair. The 5.8 billion ISK capital-class loss, piloted by Cynn Asura of Church of Blue Loot, came in a 24-participant engagement that ended with two ships destroyed and more than 10 billion ISK in combined losses.

THE CATCH

What began as a compact wormhole engagement quickly became a high-stakes trap for Cynn Asura’s Naglfar Fleet Issue. The ship was exposed long enough for a coordinated group to close in, with Hard Knocks Citizens and Death Legion of Capybaras both represented among the attackers. The fight unfolded in J164511 between 23:31 and 23:38 UTC, a short window that nonetheless carried enough weight to produce one of the more expensive losses of the day.

THE PRESSURE BUILDS

The Naglfar did not fall to a single source of fire. Attackers on Ikitursas did a large share of the work, but the combat data also suggests Drifter Response Battleships entered the picture and poured enormous damage into the target. That mix of player pressure and NPC fire would have made escape difficult even before the final blows landed. The presence of a Drifter Response Battleship in the damage profile hints at how quickly a contained skirmish can turn hostile in wormhole space.

THE BREAK

The final blow came from leo ramma in an Ikitursa, ending the capital hull’s attempt to survive the engagement. Alongside the ship itself, the Naglfar Fleet Issue shed a substantial amount of ammunition and fittings, with Hail XL, Barrage XL, and Arch Angel ammunition among the items lost or recovered in the wreckage. A second Naglfar was also destroyed in the same fight, underlining that this was no isolated mishap but part of a broader and costly collapse.

WHY IT MATTERS

At 10.3 billion ISK in total losses, the engagement was expensive enough to matter even without any wider campaign context. For Church of Blue Loot, the destruction of a Naglfar Fleet Issue is the kind of loss that leaves a mark: a powerful ship gone, cargo split between salvage and ash, and little room for a clean recovery in wormhole space. In a system like J164511, where reinforcements and exits are never guaranteed, the difference between holding position and being caught can be the difference between control and ruin.

Big Vantus Paid 15 Ships Toward Pochven's 72 Billion ISK Tab

Of the 47 ships destroyed in Ignebaener, 46 were, in ISK terms, background noise. The 47th was a Paladin valued at just under 57.5 billion ISK - close to four-fifths of everything the system destroyed in one sitting. One hull, one pilot, one very bad moment, and the number that will define this fight long after the killboards stop updating.

Brave Newbies Lost 21 Ships in 4-07MU and Shot Back With Interest

Somewhere around 19:25 UTC, a Caracal Navy Issue died in 4-07MU and 912 pilots decided that was a reasonable invitation. Two hours later the system had produced 200 wrecks, 67.2 billion ISK of damage, and not one capital ship - just battleship after battleship feeding itself into a fight that refused to end. The killboards call it a gank. The killboards are only half right.

Solyaris Chtonium Killed Redux.'s Avatar as 1,166 Pilots Watched

The last thing an Avatar expects to be doing is dying in lowsec, but Amamake has been ruining plans for a very long time. Redux.'s Amarr Titan - one of the largest and most expensive warships in New Eden - came apart in the Heimatar system with roughly 1,166 pilots involved in the kill, and a price tag of 142.7 billion ISK attached to a single loss.

Warlock Industries Alliance Lost 52 Billion ISK. It Wasn't Even a Capital.

Fifty-two point nine billion ISK, gone. One killmail. Eight hundred and forty-seven pilots on the record. Amamake has swallowed fleets, capitals, and more than a few alliances' sense of direction over the years. It has rarely swallowed 52.9 billion ISK in a single ship that was not even a capital. The victim was the Sarathiel, flying under the banner of Warlock Industries Alliance. The credited killer was Minmatar Fleet Associates. And every one of those 847 names belongs to the same kill.
