A Naglfar was destroyed in Gusandall in a brief but costly strike that left the Moros-class capital stripped of most of its value before the final shot landed. The fight involved 15 participants and ended almost as quickly as it began, with attackers from an unaligned group claiming a 4.7 billion ISK prize from Wings Freedom.

THE CATCH

The engagement in Gusandall appears to have been a sudden interception rather than a prolonged siege. A single Naglfar piloted by Gerry Iwaira of Wings Freedom. was caught and destroyed in the opening exchange, leaving little time for escape or support to shape the outcome. The battle was small in numbers, but the ship at the center of it made the loss impossible to dismiss.

THE PRICE OF EXPOSURE

The Naglfar accounted for the entire loss in the fight, and the value attached to it made the destruction sting. Of the 4.7 billion ISK involved, 4.1 billion ISK was destroyed outright, while 625.6 million ISK was recovered as dropped loot. That kind of split suggests the attackers did more than simply force a retreat—they broke the ship before it could be saved.

THE FINAL BLOW

The last strike came from an attacker identified only as Unknown attacker 1650116944, flying Ship 85086 and dealing the majority of the damage. Other attackers from several unaligned groups also contributed, indicating that the target was under pressure from more than one direction. With seven attackers credited against the ship, the Naglfar likely found itself isolated at the wrong moment, against a hostile force ready to finish the job.

AFTERMATH IN GUSANDALL

For Wings Freedom., the loss of a capital ship is more than a line on a ledger. Even in a fight this brief, the destruction of a Naglfar carries the weight of a serious setback, both in material terms and in the message it sends to anyone operating nearby. In Gusandall, the attackers appear to have found their opening and turned it into an expensive wreck before the victim could respond.
