THE HUNT

THE BREAK
The engagement drew in 112 participants, with 75 attackers contributing to the destruction of the drill. Among the heaviest damage dealers were Kikimoras alongside Kev Lar in an Oracle flying for Fraternity., indicating that the structure was exposed to sustained pressure from more than one side of the fight. Once the defenders could no longer hold it, the drill broke under concentrated fire and was destroyed on the spot.
THE LOSSES
The Metenox was not simply a hull loss. With it went Magmatic Gas, Silicates, and other stored resources, while some Chromium, Atmospheric Gases, and Hydrocarbons were recovered. The reported value of the destruction stood at 1 billion ISK, with 647.7 million ISK destroyed outright and 372.3 million ISK dropped. For an industrial asset, that split still leaves a costly wreckage and a sharp interruption to whatever operation it was supporting.
WHY IT MATTERS
Industrial structures are rarely dramatic until they are suddenly gone. This one appears to have fallen in a large local fight that concentrated enough force to make the outcome decisive, and that alone makes the loss sting.
