The Mastodon carried enough value to make the kill stand out on its own. Of the 2.7 billion ISK total, 2.3 billion ISK was destroyed and 423.8 million ISK made it out in the wreck. Among the cargo and fittings were large quantities of Hydrogen Isotopes, GalvaSurge Condenser Packs, and ammunition, suggesting the ship was loaded for movement rather than combat. That kind of load can make a hauler look less like a utility ship and more like a prize.
