The loss happened fast in Vuorrassi, where a small Vendetta Mercenary Group presence intercepted a Fraternity. Magnate piloted by pilaobanWillEnvy of Chi Gua. With only five participants recorded on the field, this was not a fleet collision so much as a sharp, localised hunt that closed around a fragile target before it could get clear.

THE PRICE OF A FRIGATE

What makes the destruction stand out is not the hull, but the expense folded into it. The total value tied to the loss reached 1.2 billion ISK, with 760.4 million ISK destroyed and 484.9 million ISK recovered as loot. The Magnate was carrying a serious selection of ammunition and fittings, including Gleam S and Imperial Navy Multifrequency S, while other expensive crystal types such as Imperial Navy Ultraviolet S, Aurora S and Imperial Navy Gamma S were destroyed with the ship.

THE FINAL BLOW

The decisive damage came from Bloodova Devka flying a Maulus Navy Issue, backed by Bloodwynova Devka in a Gnosis. That suggests the target was pinned and pressured quickly enough for the attack to stay compact, with the Maulus Navy Issue doing the work that mattered when the moment arrived. For a ship as lightly built as a Magnate, survival depended on distance and timing; Vuorrassi offered neither for long.

WHY IT MATTERS

Even without a larger battle around it, this was the sort of kill that reminds New Eden how dangerous a seemingly modest hull can become when the fit is valuable. For Fraternity., the loss is a costly reminder that scouting or travel ships can still turn into prizes. For Vendetta Mercenary Group, it is a clean, efficient result: a high-value catch taken in a small engagement, and one that paid far more than the hull on its own would suggest.
