Machariel Torn Apart in WX-6UX as a Supercarrier Joins the Strike

A 3.4 billion ISK Machariel was destroyed in WX-6UX in a brief but violent clash that saw Dracarys. ships on both sides of the kill and an unexpected True Sansha's Supercarrier lending overwhelming force to the attack. The loss was swift, decisive, and expensive enough to stand out on its own.

THE CATCH

The engagement in WX-6UX lasted only a moment, but it had the markings of a trap closing cleanly. Five participants were involved, and the target was a Machariel flown by vivwerwer03 of Dracarys., from the Baby-Bus corporation. What should have been a powerful battleship still capable of fighting back instead became the centerpiece of a short, sharp destruction.

THE HEAVY HITTING

The final blow was delivered by vivwerwer02, also in a Dracarys. Machariel, but the damage was not coming from one source alone. Another Dracarys. Machariel, vivwerwer01, contributed to the pressure, while an unidentified attacker flying a True Sansha's Supercarrier appears to have added the kind of force that leaves little room for escape. Together, the attackers overwhelmed the target before it could slip away.

THE LOSSES

The Machariel went down with a total value of 3.4 billion ISK attached to it, with 2.9 billion ISK destroyed and 532.5 million ISK dropping into space. Among the more notable items lost or shattered were Vespa EC-600 drones, Republic Fleet Valkyries, Warrior IIs, a Republic Fleet Large Cap Battery, and an Imperial Navy Large EMP Smartbomb. The fit suggests a ship prepared for serious combat, making the loss feel all the more costly.

WHY IT MATTERS

Even in a cluster accustomed to sudden violence, a loss of this size in such a short exchange is the sort of event that gets remembered. WX-6UX saw a valuable battleship removed from the grid almost immediately, with Dracarys. appearing on both sides of the fight in a reminder that in New Eden, proximity does not always mean safety. The presence of a supercarrier in the attack only sharpens the impression that the target was caught in a situation where the odds had already turned badly against it.
