Machariel Lost in Sudden 4DV-1T Skirmish

A 2.3 billion ISK Machariel was destroyed in 4DV-1T in a fast, close-range skirmish that drew in three attackers against a single target. The loss landed hard: a faction battleship, fitted for a heavy punch and shield tank, was brought down before it could escape, leaving only scattered wreckage and a reminder of how quickly a valuable ship can vanish in New Eden.

THE CATCH

The fight in 4DV-1T appears to have ended almost as quickly as it began. One Machariel, flown by 20260412 of Out of the Blue. and Carouse, was caught and destroyed in a small engagement involving just four pilots. The scale was limited, but the price was not: a 2.3 billion ISK battleship lost in a moment that left little room for recovery.

THE HUNTING PAIR

The final blow came from 20260407, also in a Machariel, with 20260422 flying beside them in the same hull. Together they accounted for nearly all of the damage done to the target, suggesting a tightly focused assault rather than a prolonged brawl. An unaligned Domination Titan was also involved, but contributed only a smaller share of the damage, making the encounter feel less like a fleet action than a sharp, opportunistic catch.

THE FIT THAT BROKE

The wreckage tells part of the story. The destroyed ship carried Domination and Republic Fleet smartbombs, a Gist X-Type Large Shield Booster, and other expensive modules that point to a heavily blinged combat fit. Some equipment was destroyed outright, while other valuable pieces dropped into space, but the ship itself was gone and the cost was already locked in. For a Machariel, losing that kind of fit in a small engagement is exactly the sort of mistake that can turn a routine outing into a very expensive lesson.

THE CONSEQUENCE

With only four participants and a single hull on the loss side, this was never a battle that would redraw borders or reshape a region. It does, however, underline how dangerous even a brief encounter can be when high-value ships are exposed in low-intensity space. In EVE, a lone battleship can be the prize of the night, and in 4DV-1T, that prize was claimed before escape could be attempted.

Scan Stakan Killed 55 Ships and Lost 186 in the Same Fight

E-WMT7 produced 376 killmails, somewhere around 134 billion ISK of wreckage, and one battleship worth more than a force auxiliary, a Nestor and a Typhoon Fleet Issue put together. The number that stings harder is 186. That is how many ships Scan Stakan lost in the same engagement in which they killed 55 - top of the kill list and top of the loss list, in a single three-and-a-half-hour afternoon.

x Never Regret x Takes 40 Kills as Raa Burns 26 Capitals

At 17:28 UTC, a Retriever died in Raa. Retrievers die constantly, and in Devoid that is more or less the job description. This one is only worth mentioning because of what followed it: for the next hundred minutes, a system on the edge of Amarr space turned into a scrapyard, and by the time the last shot landed at 19:10, 87 ships had been destroyed and the bill had reached 157.4 billion ISK. Almost half of that was one Revelation.

Rattini Tribe and Prime Directive. Split Dal's 192 Billion ISK Bill

An Amarr Shuttle belonging to G0lden Fleet. died in Dal at 16:15 UTC. That is not normally the opening line of a 192 billion ISK story, but Dal spent the next three hours and forty-one minutes making sure nobody forgot it. By the time the last capsule in the system - belonging to x Never Regret x - came apart at 19:56, 557 pilots had produced 516 confirmed losses, fourteen capital ships had been wrecked, and the Heimatar system had eaten just over 192 billion ISK. That is not a skirmish somebody stumbled into. That is a decision, made over and over, for the better part of four hours.

Brave Newbies Topped Both Sides of the HY-RWO Ledger

The first ship to die in HY-RWO was a Rokh worth 44.7 billion ISK, and it set the tone for everything that came after. Over the following hour, 1,883 pilots fought in the Catch system, 243 ships were destroyed, and around 205 billion ISK was removed from the economy one killmail at a time. Not a single capital ship died. In a fight of that size, the most expensive losses were ordinary battleships, fitted in a way that makes the word 'ordinary' sound absurd.
