Machariel Hunted Down in G96R-F as Goonswarm Claims 2.8B ISK Prize

A Fraternity. Machariel was pinned down and destroyed in G96R-F after a 15-pilot clash that left Goonswarm Federation with a costly trophy and the field to itself. The battleship was worth 2.8 billion ISK, and the engagement appears to have turned on the kind of pressure that makes even a heavily armed hull hard to save once it is committed.

THE CATCH

The loss centred on Bei ji xiongSS’s Machariel of Fraternity., destroyed in a brief fight that involved pilots from both Fraternity. and Goonswarm Federation. The ship was flown by a member of Chaos arbiter, and the final blow came from meiyu Ade in a Tengu operating for Goonswarm’s Kun-Lun. Whatever the wider situation around G96R-F, the Machariel ended up isolated enough for the attackers to finish it before help could turn the tide.

THE PRESSURE BUILDS

This was not a cheap exchange dressed up as a headline. The Machariel’s loss totalled 2.8 billion ISK, with 1.9 billion ISK destroyed and another 948.4 million ISK slipping into the wreckage. That mix suggests the ship was carrying fittings worth taking home, but also enough that the rest was simply erased in the explosion. Among the wreckage were officer and navy-grade modules, including Caldari Navy Large Graviton Smartbombs, a Republic Fleet Large Cap Battery, and a True Sansha Cap Recharger.

THE BREAK

Although the report lists 15 participants overall, the damage tells a more concentrated story. Goonswarm committed 12 attackers to the target, enough to keep the pressure high while the Fraternity. side tried to answer with multiple Machariels of its own nearby. The final blow from a Tengu suggests the attackers were able to keep the target under control long enough for the decisive shot to land, rather than letting a prized battleship slip away under fire.

WHY IT MATTERS

A Machariel is never just another loss, and this one was fitted like a ship expected to survive its work. When a hull of this class goes down in a small, sharp engagement, the impact is felt well beyond the immediate field: in the cost of the ship itself, in the fittings that vanished with it, and in the reminder that even dangerous battleships can be brought down when they are caught at the wrong moment.

Scan Stakan Killed 55 Ships and Lost 186 in the Same Fight

E-WMT7 produced 376 killmails, somewhere around 134 billion ISK of wreckage, and one battleship worth more than a force auxiliary, a Nestor and a Typhoon Fleet Issue put together. The number that stings harder is 186. That is how many ships Scan Stakan lost in the same engagement in which they killed 55 - top of the kill list and top of the loss list, in a single three-and-a-half-hour afternoon.

x Never Regret x Takes 40 Kills as Raa Burns 26 Capitals

At 17:28 UTC, a Retriever died in Raa. Retrievers die constantly, and in Devoid that is more or less the job description. This one is only worth mentioning because of what followed it: for the next hundred minutes, a system on the edge of Amarr space turned into a scrapyard, and by the time the last shot landed at 19:10, 87 ships had been destroyed and the bill had reached 157.4 billion ISK. Almost half of that was one Revelation.

Rattini Tribe and Prime Directive. Split Dal's 192 Billion ISK Bill

An Amarr Shuttle belonging to G0lden Fleet. died in Dal at 16:15 UTC. That is not normally the opening line of a 192 billion ISK story, but Dal spent the next three hours and forty-one minutes making sure nobody forgot it. By the time the last capsule in the system - belonging to x Never Regret x - came apart at 19:56, 557 pilots had produced 516 confirmed losses, fourteen capital ships had been wrecked, and the Heimatar system had eaten just over 192 billion ISK. That is not a skirmish somebody stumbled into. That is a decision, made over and over, for the better part of four hours.

Brave Newbies Topped Both Sides of the HY-RWO Ledger

The first ship to die in HY-RWO was a Rokh worth 44.7 billion ISK, and it set the tone for everything that came after. Over the following hour, 1,883 pilots fought in the Catch system, 243 ships were destroyed, and around 205 billion ISK was removed from the economy one killmail at a time. Not a single capital ship died. In a fight of that size, the most expensive losses were ordinary battleships, fitted in a way that makes the word 'ordinary' sound absurd.
