Machariel Destroyed in Tight Goonswarm Exchange in GC-LTF

A 2.4 billion ISK Machariel was brought down in GC-LTF just after midnight UTC, ending a brief but costly encounter that appears to have involved ships from the same Goonswarm Federation circles on both sides of the fight. The loss left a hull with expensive fittings wrecked in place, while a second attacker of unknown identity and an Angel Dreadnought added weight to a kill that was anything but routine.

THE TARGET

The destroyed Machariel belonged to Whiski Fifiox of Goonswarm Federation’s Imperial Ghosts. On paper, it was a familiar threat: a hard-hitting pirate battleship built for speed and pressure, carrying a mix of faction and officer-grade hardware that pushed the total value to 2.4 billion ISK. The ship’s fittings suggest a serious roaming fit, with a Domination Large Proton Smartbomb, Republic Fleet Large Cap Battery, and a hyperspatial rig among the notable losses when the hull finally broke.

THE CATCH

The engagement was small, with only three participants recorded, but it was enough to corner the battleship before it could slip away. Whiski Pleague, also flying a Machariel for Goonswarm Federation, landed the final blow after dealing a substantial share of the damage. An unknown attacker in an Angel Dreadnought also appears to have contributed heavily, suggesting the target had been pinned down by more than a simple duel and was already under severe pressure when the decisive volley came.

THE BREAK

Once the Machariel was trapped, the fight turned quickly. The wreck left behind 1.7 billion ISK in destroyed assets, while 641 million ISK in fittings dropped for whoever managed to secure the field. The loss of Berserker II drones and the destruction of the hyperspatial rig point to a ship that had been equipped to move, not to sit and absorb punishment. That kind of fit can be devastating when it escapes; it becomes a liability the moment the escape route closes.

WHY IT MATTERS

This was not a fleet battle, but it was a sharp reminder of how quickly a valuable battleship can be erased when the wrong ship is isolated at the wrong time. A Machariel loss on this scale is enough to sting even in a busy warzone, and the involvement of attackers and victim from the same alliance adds an unusual edge to the incident. Whether this was a hunt, an internal collision, or a poorly timed crossing of paths, the result was the same: an expensive hull was left burning in GC-LTF before it could make good its escape.

Scan Stakan Killed 55 Ships and Lost 186 in the Same Fight

E-WMT7 produced 376 killmails, somewhere around 134 billion ISK of wreckage, and one battleship worth more than a force auxiliary, a Nestor and a Typhoon Fleet Issue put together. The number that stings harder is 186. That is how many ships Scan Stakan lost in the same engagement in which they killed 55 - top of the kill list and top of the loss list, in a single three-and-a-half-hour afternoon.

x Never Regret x Takes 40 Kills as Raa Burns 26 Capitals

At 17:28 UTC, a Retriever died in Raa. Retrievers die constantly, and in Devoid that is more or less the job description. This one is only worth mentioning because of what followed it: for the next hundred minutes, a system on the edge of Amarr space turned into a scrapyard, and by the time the last shot landed at 19:10, 87 ships had been destroyed and the bill had reached 157.4 billion ISK. Almost half of that was one Revelation.

Rattini Tribe and Prime Directive. Split Dal's 192 Billion ISK Bill

An Amarr Shuttle belonging to G0lden Fleet. died in Dal at 16:15 UTC. That is not normally the opening line of a 192 billion ISK story, but Dal spent the next three hours and forty-one minutes making sure nobody forgot it. By the time the last capsule in the system - belonging to x Never Regret x - came apart at 19:56, 557 pilots had produced 516 confirmed losses, fourteen capital ships had been wrecked, and the Heimatar system had eaten just over 192 billion ISK. That is not a skirmish somebody stumbled into. That is a decision, made over and over, for the better part of four hours.

Brave Newbies Topped Both Sides of the HY-RWO Ledger

The first ship to die in HY-RWO was a Rokh worth 44.7 billion ISK, and it set the tone for everything that came after. Over the following hour, 1,883 pilots fought in the Catch system, 243 ships were destroyed, and around 205 billion ISK was removed from the economy one killmail at a time. Not a single capital ship died. In a fight of that size, the most expensive losses were ordinary battleships, fitted in a way that makes the word 'ordinary' sound absurd.
