THE BREAKDOWN
The attackers were all tied to Fraternity., with the damage coming from a cluster of pilots including miaowazhongzi6, miaowazhongzi5, miaowazhongzi3 and miaowazhongzi2. Several of the pilots were in capsules by the time the target was finished, suggesting the engagement had already deteriorated into a fast-moving scramble rather than a clean fleet exchange. An unaligned Scourge Torpedo also contributed a small amount of damage, indicating outside fire may have been present as the kill was sealed.
THE LOSSES
The destroyed Machariel did not go quietly. Among the modules lost with it were faction and deadspace-grade fittings including a Dark Blood Capacitor Power Relay, a Republic Fleet Large Cap Battery, two Caldari Navy Large Graviton Smartbombs, and a Large Capacitor Control Circuit II. In total, 2.4 billion ISK was destroyed and another 762.9 million ISK dropped, making the ship a costly prize even by New Eden standards.
WHY IT MATTERS
For a fight of this size, the result suggests a sharp, concentrated catch rather than a prolonged battle. A single battleship loss can be shrugged off in some regions; a 3.1 billion ISK Machariel cannot. In ZA0L-U, the engagement ended quickly, but the price tag gives it weight — a reminder that even a small clash can turn into a serious financial hit when faction hulls and expensive fittings are on the line.
