Kronos Lost in a 70-Pilot Skirmish in C2X-M5

A Fraternity. Kronos was destroyed in C2X-M5 as a 70-pilot clash unfolded around it, with The Initiative. emerging from the fight holding the field and a 1.3 billion ISK prize. The battleship went down under sustained fire from a group of Omen Navy Issues, ending a short but costly encounter in nullsec.

THE CATCH

The engagement in C2X-M5 appears to have come down to a fast-moving interception rather than a prolonged siege. On one side stood Fraternity.; on the other, The Initiative., fielding a sizable local force that included at least 44 attackers directly involved in the destruction of the target. In the middle of that pressure sat dar in ifrim’s Kronos, a ship that can absorb punishment but becomes a very visible prize the moment it is pinned down.

THE FIRE WATERS

The killing blow came from x Droth in an Omen Navy Issue, but the damage around it suggests the Kronos was under concentrated pressure from multiple ships before the final shot landed. Several other Initiative pilots in similar cruisers and battlecruiser-style hulls were involved in the attack, with Pample Mousse, Cheniek, Breken Dupont, and Rida Otus all contributing significant damage. Against that kind of focused fire, the battleship’s expensive armor gave way quickly enough to end the fight before it could turn into anything more drawn out.

THE PRICE OF THE OPPORTUNITY

The loss totaled 1.3 billion ISK, with 1.1 billion ISK destroyed and just 171.7 million ISK recovered from the wreck. The cargo tells its own story: large volumes of Void L, Null L, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge L, and other ammunition were aboard, along with Nanite Repair Paste, suggesting the Kronos had been fitted and stocked for serious work. Instead, much of that equipment vanished with the ship, turning a single bad moment into a steep material setback.

THE SIGNIFICANCE

For Fraternity., the destruction of a Kronos is more than a routine ship loss; it is the sort of blow that reminds everyone in the area how quickly an expensive hull can be isolated and erased when the wrong fight turns against it. For The Initiative., it was a clean and efficient result in a short engagement, one that added weight to what appears to have been a larger 70-participant clash in C2X-M5. In New Eden, that is often all it takes: one heavy ship, one committed response, and a fight that ends with a wreck instead of a retreat.

Scan Stakan Killed 55 Ships and Lost 186 in the Same Fight

E-WMT7 produced 376 killmails, somewhere around 134 billion ISK of wreckage, and one battleship worth more than a force auxiliary, a Nestor and a Typhoon Fleet Issue put together. The number that stings harder is 186. That is how many ships Scan Stakan lost in the same engagement in which they killed 55 - top of the kill list and top of the loss list, in a single three-and-a-half-hour afternoon.

x Never Regret x Takes 40 Kills as Raa Burns 26 Capitals

At 17:28 UTC, a Retriever died in Raa. Retrievers die constantly, and in Devoid that is more or less the job description. This one is only worth mentioning because of what followed it: for the next hundred minutes, a system on the edge of Amarr space turned into a scrapyard, and by the time the last shot landed at 19:10, 87 ships had been destroyed and the bill had reached 157.4 billion ISK. Almost half of that was one Revelation.

Rattini Tribe and Prime Directive. Split Dal's 192 Billion ISK Bill

An Amarr Shuttle belonging to G0lden Fleet. died in Dal at 16:15 UTC. That is not normally the opening line of a 192 billion ISK story, but Dal spent the next three hours and forty-one minutes making sure nobody forgot it. By the time the last capsule in the system - belonging to x Never Regret x - came apart at 19:56, 557 pilots had produced 516 confirmed losses, fourteen capital ships had been wrecked, and the Heimatar system had eaten just over 192 billion ISK. That is not a skirmish somebody stumbled into. That is a decision, made over and over, for the better part of four hours.

Brave Newbies Topped Both Sides of the HY-RWO Ledger

The first ship to die in HY-RWO was a Rokh worth 44.7 billion ISK, and it set the tone for everything that came after. Over the following hour, 1,883 pilots fought in the Catch system, 243 ships were destroyed, and around 205 billion ISK was removed from the economy one killmail at a time. Not a single capital ship died. In a fight of that size, the most expensive losses were ordinary battleships, fitted in a way that makes the word 'ordinary' sound absurd.
