On paper, the loss belongs to Bregandaerth’s Maurospanthiras, but the field around the ship shows a wider net closing in: 22 participants, with Federal Navy Academy credited among the attackers and multiple hostile hulls applying pressure as the target was pinned down.

THE FALL OF THE MARAUDER

A Kronos is never a casual target, and this one was carrying the kind of ammunition and consumables that suggest it had been ready for a prolonged fight. Instead, the ship was broken before it could turn the engagement around. Satori Koishi’s Cenotaph landed the finishing blow, but the damage had already been spread across a mixed attack group that included a Nemesis, Widow, Redeemer and Tengu among the notable attackers.

THE COST

The wreck left behind a total value of 2.4 billion ISK, with roughly 1.2 billion ISK destroyed and another 1.1 billion ISK recovered or dropped. Among the lost cargo were large stocks of Void L and Federation Navy Antimatter Charge L, while Null L and Nanite Repair Paste were torn apart with the hull. For the pilot, the loss was not just the battleship itself, but the expensive combat readiness that came with it.
