THE CATCH
What should have been a powerful, self-sufficient brawler instead became the day’s prize. The Kronos was caught in B17O-R and overwhelmed in a fight that involved 15 participants overall, with Blades of Grass accounting for the attacking side. The engagement was brief, but the result was anything but routine: a 2 billion ISK loss, with most of that value destroyed rather than recovered.
THE PRESSURE BUILDS
The attackers committed 11 pilots to the kill, and the ship losses around the field suggest a focused strike rather than a broad fleet clash. Several Purifiers were on grid, alongside a Hound, indicating a covert-pressure approach that leaned on damage, timing, and collapse rather than brute force. For a Kronos, that kind of attention can become fatal quickly once escape is denied and repairs are no longer enough.
THE BREAK
The final blow came from George Mante’s Purifier, but the damage was shared across multiple attackers, with Old Garrafa, Legolas Green-leaf, Noan Mandalore, and Rammus Marmitt all contributing. That spread of fire suggests the target was boxed in long enough for the assault to grind through its defenses. The loss also left little room for salvage: 1.7 billion ISK was destroyed outright, while only 256.4 million ISK appears to have been recovered.
THE LOSSES
For Don Adi and The Initiative., the destruction of a Kronos is more than a single expensive hull disappearing from space. The ship carried a heavy load of ammunition — including large stocks of Null L and Void L — much of which was destroyed with the vessel. In a fight measured by a single hull, that kind of loss is immediate and visible: the ship, its fittings, and its cargo all went up together.
