THE NET CLOSES
Howitzers and Champagne brought only two attackers to the scene, but the combination was enough to overwhelm the hauler’s chances. Pearson Hardmen's Arazu likely provided the control needed to keep the target from slipping away, while Mordrel Sinclair's Proteus applied the damage that finished the job. The fight never became a sprawling brawl; instead, it reads like a compact interception that was decided quickly once the target was pinned down.
THE LOSSES
The Iteron Mark V went down with a substantial haul of goods and fittings. Among the items destroyed were Magmatic Gas, Nitrogen Fuel Blocks, an Expanded Cargohold II, and a Medium Cargohold Optimization I, while a Metenox Moon Drill was among the cargo that survived the wreck. The destruction of more than half a billion ISK in assets, alongside the value of what was recovered, pushes the loss into the kind of category that stings long after the wreck has vanished.
WHY IT MATTERS
This was not a major fleet battle, but it is the sort of clean, opportunistic catch that keeps travel dangerous across New Eden. A lone industrial ship with valuable cargo is always vulnerable, and once a hunting pair gets control of the engagement, escape becomes a slim prospect. In Crielere, that vulnerability was exposed in full, and Reggiecorp paid the price for a short journey that ended under hostile fire.
