THE CATCH

The engagement in AD167 appears to have turned on a single exposed cruiser-sized target. Cricket Faer of HOLD MY PROBS lost an Ishtar worth 1.5 billion ISK to an attacker from Svarog Clade, with the final blow coming from a Striking Leshak flown by an unknown attacker. For a ship built to be resilient and dangerous in the hands of its pilot, the Ishtar was instead pinned down and destroyed before it could get clear.

THE BREAKDOWN

The numbers point to a brief, sharp fight rather than a drawn-out fleet action. Only three pilots were involved, and Svarog Clade committed just one attacker to the destruction. Even so, the outcome was decisive: 735.9 million ISK was destroyed outright, while 758.5 million ISK was recovered in loot and wreckage. That split suggests a violent close-range kill where time and range were working against the victim from the start.

THE LOSSES

The Ishtar’s fitting and cargo underline how costly the loss was. Among the destroyed items were large quantities of Fusion S ammunition, a Chaotic Exotic Filament, and five Agency 'Hardshell' TB5 Dose II injectors, while seven Caldari Navy Wasp drones were among the items that dropped. Those details suggest the ship was not empty or lightly fitted when it went down, adding to the sting of the loss for HOLD MY PROBS and Scan Stakan.
