The target was an Impel flown by SkagGaNeTkA of Russian Star Federation, a ship that is built to move valuable cargo — and, on this occasion, appears to have been carrying a significant load of compressed ore.
THE BREAK
Apollo Tyrannos delivered the final blow in a Drifter Battleship, giving the attack a distinctly predatory edge. The Impel did not simply vanish into the pod bay and dock queues of New Eden; it was forced down hard, with 884.2 million ISK destroyed and 775.7 million ISK recovered from the wreck. That split suggests the cargo may have been the real prize, with several grades of compressed Kylixium among the items that survived the loss.
THE LOSSES
For Suetology, the destruction of an Impel is more than a routine transport setback. The hull itself is valuable, but the true sting often lies in what it was meant to carry. Here, the cargo included compressed Kylixium and traces of Eifyrium, the kind of minerals that make a hauler worth hunting in the first place. Once the ship was pinned down, the margin for escape appears to have collapsed quickly.
WHY IT MATTERS
The outcome in CNHV-M underlines how exposed industrial traffic can be when a hunting group gets the timing right. Vigilant Tyrannos turned a single transport into a multi-hundred-million-ISK wreck, and the presence of a Drifter Battleship in the strike suggests the attackers were more than prepared to overmatch their target. In a universe where every shipment has to survive the journey as well as the market, this was a reminder that the route itself can be the most dangerous part of the business.
