Ikitursa Destroyed in Two-Ship Strike in Foves

A Strange Alliance Ikitursa was brought down in Foves by just two attackers, ending a brief but costly encounter that erased a 1.2 billion ISK cruiser and its fittings in moments.

THE CATCH

The loss centered on Atlantis1976 of ArtO'War, flying an Ikitursa for Strange Alliance when two unaligned attackers closed in. With only two ships on the field, the engagement never had the shape of a fleet fight; it was a sharp, isolated strike that left the cruiser with little room to recover once the attack landed.

THE BREAK

The Ikitursa proved expensive to lose not only because of the hull itself, but because of what it carried into the fight. More than 786 million ISK was destroyed with the ship, while a further 396 million ISK in assets dropped from the wreck. Among the wreckage were stacks of Occult M, Mystic M, Warpath Operational Intel, and Warpath Supply Cache, suggesting a vessel fitted and supplied for more than a simple patrol.

THE FINAL BLOW

The finishing shot came from an attacker in Ship 93162, identified only as an unknown pilot from an unknown corporation. A second attacker in Ship 93337 had already done the heavier share of the damage, putting the Ikitursa on the edge before the last blow landed. In a fight this small, there was nowhere for the target to hide once it was pinned down.

WHY IT MATTERS

For Strange Alliance, the destruction of an Ikitursa is a painful and visible loss, especially in a system where a single cruiser can become a high-value prize for a small hunting party. Foves saw no grand battle here, only a clean interception that turned a valuable ship into wreckage in seconds.

Big Vantus Paid 15 Ships Toward Pochven's 72 Billion ISK Tab

Of the 47 ships destroyed in Ignebaener, 46 were, in ISK terms, background noise. The 47th was a Paladin valued at just under 57.5 billion ISK - close to four-fifths of everything the system destroyed in one sitting. One hull, one pilot, one very bad moment, and the number that will define this fight long after the killboards stop updating.

Brave Newbies Lost 21 Ships in 4-07MU and Shot Back With Interest

Somewhere around 19:25 UTC, a Caracal Navy Issue died in 4-07MU and 912 pilots decided that was a reasonable invitation. Two hours later the system had produced 200 wrecks, 67.2 billion ISK of damage, and not one capital ship - just battleship after battleship feeding itself into a fight that refused to end. The killboards call it a gank. The killboards are only half right.

Solyaris Chtonium Killed Redux.'s Avatar as 1,166 Pilots Watched

The last thing an Avatar expects to be doing is dying in lowsec, but Amamake has been ruining plans for a very long time. Redux.'s Amarr Titan - one of the largest and most expensive warships in New Eden - came apart in the Heimatar system with roughly 1,166 pilots involved in the kill, and a price tag of 142.7 billion ISK attached to a single loss.

Warlock Industries Alliance Lost 52 Billion ISK. It Wasn't Even a Capital.

Warlock Industries Alliance Lost 52 Billion ISK. It Wasn't Even a Capital.

Fifty-two point nine billion ISK, gone. One killmail. Eight hundred and forty-seven pilots on the record. Amamake has swallowed fleets, capitals, and more than a few alliances' sense of direction over the years. It has rarely swallowed 52.9 billion ISK in a single ship that was not even a capital. The victim was the Sarathiel, flying under the banner of Warlock Industries Alliance. The credited killer was Minmatar Fleet Associates. And every one of those 847 names belongs to the same kill.
