The fight in AD189 was over in seconds rather than minutes, but it still carried the kind of sting that turns a routine encounter into a memorable loss. Perun Clade caught Chadisaurus of Absolute Will’s Absolute Order XLI in an Ikitursa, a ship built to hit hard, move fast, and survive long enough to dictate the terms of a fight. Instead, it became the target.
THE DAMAGE
The final blow came from an unidentified attacker in a Harrowing Vedmak, with Perun Clade taking credit for the destruction. The Ikitursa went down with roughly 1.5 billion ISK destroyed and another 197.2 million ISK recovered, making this far more than a simple cruiser loss. Ammunition and fittings dropped and burned in equal measure, including large stocks of Occult M and Mystic M, while other charges such as Tetryon Exotic Plasma M and Baryon Exotic Plasma M were lost or scattered in the wreckage.
THE ESCAPE THAT FAILED
The destroyers were not the only casualties. The victim’s capsule was also lost, closing off any chance of a clean extraction after the ship’s destruction. With only three participants recorded across the exchange, the encounter appears to have been a tight interception rather than a broad fleet action, and the moment the Ikitursa was isolated, the outcome was effectively decided.
THE CONSEQUENCE
For Absolute Will, the loss is significant mainly because of what was destroyed and how quickly it happened: a high-value strategic cruiser, its pilot exposed, and no escape route left once the trap closed. For Perun Clade, it was a clean and expensive prize taken in a very small fight — the sort of ambush that can shape the mood of a region long after the wreck is gone.
