A costly escape attempt in KBP7-G ended with the destruction of Wyrm Alnaden’s Genolution 'Auroral' 197-variant capsule, a 1.6 billion ISK loss that appears to have been caught by a small Goonswarm Federation hunting group. The kill was credited to Blackwater Task Forces pilot Ciri Ferro flying a Caracal Navy Issue, with support from a Tengu and a Sabre.

THE CATCH

The encounter in KBP7-G was brief, but the result was brutal. Wyrm Alnaden of Curatores Veritatis Alliance, flying for W.A.S.P, lost a heavily implanted capsule valued at 1.6 billion ISK. In a region where fast-moving gangs live off hesitation and bad timing, the pod appears to have been isolated before the hunters closed in.

THE HUNTING GROUP

Goonswarm Federation fielded only a small force for the strike, with three attackers directly tied to the final blow report. Ciri Ferro delivered the decisive hit in a Caracal Navy Issue, while Aser Kriel in a Tengu contributed the bulk of the damage. Zapalka Firn’s Sabre rounded out the group, suggesting the trap had the tools needed to pin down a target that could not afford to be caught.

THE COLLAPSE

What makes the loss sting is not only the hull itself, but the implants that went with it. Zor's Custom Navigation Hyper-Link, Zainou 'Deadeye' Rapid Launch RL-1005, Low-grade Halo Epsilon, Eifyr and Co. 'Gunslinger' Surgical Strike SS-905, and a Genolution Core Augmentation CA-4 were all destroyed with the capsule. For a pod built around high-end augmentations, there was no cheap way out once the hunters had control.

THE DAMAGE DONE

The fight involved just six participants in total, but it still left a sizable mark because of what was destroyed. A single lost capsule rarely reads as major battlefield news, yet this one stands out for its price tag and for the way a compact Goonswarm gang turned a fleeting opening into a seven-figure prize. In EVE, that kind of loss can be as memorable as any ship kill.

By the time the last capsule in the system - belonging to x Never Regret x - came apart at 19:56, 557 pilots had produced 516 confirmed losses, fourteen capital ships had been wrecked, and the Heimatar system had eaten just over 192 billion ISK. That is not a skirmish somebody stumbled into. That is a decision, made over and over, for the better part of four hours.
