THE CATCH
The decisive loss came early in the engagement’s life, when Lee Gemulus of D-sync. lost his Golem to a Fraternity. strike that included 32 attackers at the point of destruction. The marauder was expensive even by New Eden standards, and the surrounding fight suggests it was operating under pressure from the start rather than enjoying safe distance or room to disengage.
THE FIREPOWER
Fraternity. brought a broad mix of hulls to the exchange, with Typhoons doing the finishing work and heavier support on hand in ships such as a Golem and a Chimera. The damage spread across the field was severe enough to strip away several battleships on both sides, including two Vargurs and two Golems among the recorded losses, while a Succubus and an unidentified Ship 28661 rounded out the wreckage.
THE BREAK
The Golem’s hold tells the story of a ship that had been fully stocked for a fight: hundreds of Rage, Javelin and Caldari Navy torpedoes were either recovered or destroyed in the blast. That volume of ammunition suggests the target was prepared for a long exchange, but preparation was not enough once the attackers had enough bodies and firepower on grid to pin it down.
THE COST
At 14.8 billion ISK in combined losses across 46 participants, the engagement was large enough to matter even without a decisive territorial outcome attached to it. For D-sync. and Fraternity., the fight shows a messy overlap of alliances and a willingness to keep trading blows in contested space. For the pilot whose Golem was first to go, it was a very expensive reminder that in New Eden, a marauder can be less a fortress than a trophy when the hunt is already underway.
