Rasomaxa Star of Fraternity., flying a Golem for Thunder Shield, lost the Marauder in a clash involving just seven participants, but the result was anything but minor. The ship and its fittings were destroyed in a strike that stripped away more than 2.1 billion ISK in losses from the field.
THE HUNTERS CLOSE IN
Vendetta Mercenary Group appears to have brought a compact, high-pressure lineup to the encounter. Abazaga’s Kronos delivered the finishing blow and accounted for most of the damage, with LuckyNumber in a Proteus contributing as well. A Stiletto flown by Mario Toretto was also present, suggesting the target had been held in place long enough for the heavier hulls to work it over. In a short engagement like this, that combination is often enough to turn a prized battleship into wreckage before support can react.
THE GOLIATH FALLS
The Golem was carrying a loaded torpedo rack, and the aftermath shows how abruptly the loss unfolded. Thousands of Caldari Navy Scourge Torpedoes were destroyed, along with other ammunition including Scourge Rage, Caldari Navy Mjolnir, and Scourge Javelin rounds. The ship itself yielded only 128.1 million ISK in drops, leaving the bulk of the value behind in the wreck. For a Marauder designed to project ruthless damage and survive under pressure, it was a costly and public reminder that even heavily armed ships can be overwhelmed once they are committed.

A single Golem loss does not redraw the map, but a 2.2 billion ISK destruction in New Caldari still matters. It reflects a successful hunt by Vendetta Mercenary Group and a failed attempt by the Fraternity. pilot to keep a valuable ship safe in contested space. In New Eden, those moments travel fast: one brief encounter, one well-timed catch, and one expensive hull gone before it could turn its guns on the people closing in.
