The Marauder, flown by Rhaven of Sigma Grindset, was brought down at 00:19 UTC by a mixed assault that included black ops ships from State War Academy and Snuffed Out, with Orin Oriki landing the final blow in a Redeemer.

THE CATCH

The fight in Kinakka appears to have been a close-range interception rather than a prolonged exchange. Fourteen pilots were involved, but the pressure converged on a single target: Rhaven’s Golem. With only seven attackers recorded on the final strike against the ship, the engagement suggests the Marauder was isolated before the killing blow came in.

THE KILLING BLOW

Orin Oriki of State War Academy delivered the final hit in a Redeemer, while fellow Redeemer pilot Dankguy of Snuffed Out and Stabhappy Seeker added significant damage. A Panther flown by K Vicemen of Snuffed Out also took part. The combination points to a coordinated black ops-style strike, the kind that leaves even a heavily armed battleship with very little space to react.

THE LOSSES

The Golem itself accounted for the full cost of the exchange: 2 billion ISK destroyed and 2.6 billion ISK recovered. The ship carried a substantial torpedo load, much of it either destroyed or left behind in the wreck. Caldari Navy Mjolnir Torpedoes, Scourge Rage Torpedoes, Caldari Navy Scourge Torpedoes, and Scourge Javelin Torpedoes all featured among the cargo and fitting losses, underscoring that this was a combat-ready hull rather than a stripped vessel.

THE SIGNIFICANCE

For Sigma Grindset and its pilot Rhaven, this was an expensive reminder of how quickly a Marauder can be pinned down when the hunters get the timing right. For the attackers, the result suggests a clean and deliberate catch in a system where a single ship was worth more than many small gangs can hope to field. In New Eden, that kind of loss does not need larger context to land hard: a Golem died fast, and the wreck tells the story plainly.
