THE CATCH
The fight in Osmon was over almost as soon as it began, but it still drew enough pilots to suggest a deliberate hunt rather than a chance encounter. Michael Darken’s Golem of Moondust Enterprises became the prize, and the ship was quickly overwhelmed by a mixed group of attackers that included multiple Nemesis bombers and other unidentified support.
THE BREAKDOWN
The pressure appears to have come from several directions at once. Firestorm Zero, flying a Nemesis for Aegis Industrial Movings, landed the final blow, but the damage numbers show that others were already carving the Golem apart. The attacker list also includes an unidentified Corelior Sentinel pilot and bombers from several corporations, which suggests a coordinated pile-on once the target was committed and unable to disengage cleanly.
THE LOSSES
For Michael Darken, the cost was severe. The Golem accounted for 2.1 billion ISK in destroyed value, while another 558.8 million ISK worth of assets were recovered from the wreck. The cargo and fittings were packed with cruise missiles — Inferno, Mjolnir, Scourge and Nova Fury rounds among them — turning the loss into the kind of blow that hurts twice: once when the ship dies, and again when the ammunition disappears with it.
WHY IT MATTERS
A Marauder is never a casual casualty, and Osmon’s brief but intense skirmish shows how quickly even a heavily armed ship can be isolated and broken when enough hunters are already in position. For Aegis Industrial Movings and the other attackers involved, the destruction of the Golem represents a cleanly taken prize; for Moondust Enterprises, it is a reminder that expensive hulls remain vulnerable the moment they are caught alone.
