A Golem worth 1.8 billion ISK was broken apart in Ahbazon after a compact but damaging strike by Nu-Wave and several other Tornado pilots. The battle appears to have been brief, but it was decisive: by the time the dust settled, the marauder had been overwhelmed and its cargo and fittings stripped into wreckage.

THE CATCH

The loss centered on Ilya Alduin’s Golem of BLOBinA, flying under Can i bring my Drake... alliance affiliation, and it was caught in Ahbazon in what appears to have been a fast-moving engagement involving 21 participants. The ship stood out immediately as a high-value target, and the numbers suggest it was never given room to escape once it was found.

THE STRIKE

Nu-Wave supplied the final blow through mimer Sarn’s Tornado, but the pressure on the Golem came from multiple angles. Other Tornado pilots, including Virus Knight and JINTSUU of Emergency Temporal Shift., as well as Roberrrto Inferno and Kyrah Inferno of Ahbazon-Prime, all contributed significant damage. That mix of attackers suggests the target was pinned and hammered down rather than slowly worn away.

THE COLLAPSE

When the Golem failed, it did so expensively. Roughly 1.5 billion ISK was destroyed with only 280.7 million ISK recovering to drops, leaving behind a wreck that swallowed a heavy stock of Rage torpedoes along with the ship itself. For a marauder built to project power, the result was a stark reminder that even a heavily armed hull can be overwhelmed when it is isolated at the wrong moment.

THE CONSEQUENCE

The destruction of a Golem in Ahbazon will not reshape a region by itself, but it does underline how dangerous the route has become for expensive ships moving without complete control of the field. For the attackers, it was a clean and lucrative kill; for the victim, a costly end in a fight that appears to have been over almost as soon as it began.
