THE CATCH
The fight in AD130 appears to have been a tight, fast-moving skirmish rather than a drawn-out brawl. Four pilots were involved, but the center of the action was the Gila flown by etip Agittain of Death Legion of Capybaras. Once the cruiser was caught, Veles Clade and an allied Perun Clade pilot were able to put enough damage on it to decide the outcome quickly.
THE BREAK
The final blow came from an unidentified pilot in a Vila Swarmer belonging to Veles Clade, with a Harrowing Vedmak from Perun Clade helping drive the kill home. The Gila took more than 22,000 points of combined damage before collapsing, suggesting that whatever escape or repair effort was underway was not enough to save it. In a small engagement like this, every second matters, and the target did not get the breathing room it needed.
THE LOSSES
The ship itself accounted for 2 billion ISK of the destruction, with only 225.1 million ISK recovered. Among the cargo and fittings lost or destroyed were Triglavian Survey Databases, Zero-Point Condensate, Scourge Fury Light Missiles, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missiles, and Nanite Repair Paste. For a single cruiser to carry that much value, the result was an expensive mistake or an ill-fated gamble, and the margin for recovery was clearly thin.
WHY IT MATTERS
For Death Legion of Capybaras, the loss of a heavily fitted Gila is the kind of setback that stings immediately: expensive, self-contained, and hard to dismiss. For Veles Clade, with support from Perun Clade, it was a clean prize taken in a short engagement. In New Eden, that kind of interception is often enough to reshape a pilot’s evening — and sometimes their wallet for far longer.
