A Banderlogs Alliance Gila was destroyed in AD156 in a brief but costly encounter that left little room for escape. The 2.3 billion ISK loss went to Vigilant Tyrannos, which appears to have caught the cruiser under pressure and finished the job before it could break free.

THE CATCH

The fight was small, with only four participants on the field, but it ended with a high-value prize burning out in AD156. Leona Bodafira of Russian Space Community, flying for Banderlogs Alliance, lost the Gila to Vigilant Tyrannos in an engagement that suggests the ship was isolated at the wrong moment. In a clash this limited, every ship mattered — and the Gila was the one that could not hold out.

THE BREAK

The final blow came from an unidentified attacker flying an Ephialtes Confuser, while Scylla Tyrannos in a Drifter Nullcharge Cruiser also contributed to the damage. Together they pushed through the Gila’s defenses and overwhelmed a hull that is rarely cheap to lose. The result was decisive: 1.4 billion ISK destroyed and 913.9 million ISK recovered or dropped from the wreck.

THE LOSSES

The wreck scattered a mixed haul of destruction and salvage. Large stocks of Scourge Fury Light Missiles were destroyed, while Nanite Repair Paste was among the items that dropped. The cargo also included Triglavian Survey Databases, Zero-Point Condensate, and Crystalline Isogen-10, all of which were lost to the fire or torn from the ship as it broke apart.

WHY IT MATTERS

For Banderlogs Alliance, the loss of a Gila in such a small engagement is the sort of setback that stings precisely because it is so concentrated. A ship of that value draws attention wherever it appears, and Vigilant Tyrannos appears to have seized the opportunity quickly and cleanly. In New Eden, a fight this small can still end with a prize large enough to change the mood of a night.
