THE FINAL BLOW
The decisive shot came from H3LLSCAPE in a Talos, giving Missile Militia the only confirmed attacker on the field. That suggests this was a very tight hunt rather than a sprawling engagement, with the Gila caught exposed long enough for the strike to land before any escape could matter. Lesnichiy of University of Caille was left with little room to work once the cruiser was committed and the Talos had line of sight.
THE LOSSES
The destroyed Gila accounted for 1.4 billion ISK of the total damage, while another 499 million ISK in value dropped or was left behind. Among the items recovered were large stacks of Inferno Fury Light Missiles, Zero-Point Condensate, Triglavian Survey Database, and Nanite Repair Paste — the sort of cargo that hints at a ship set up for serious activity, not casual travel. The wreck also saw some ammunition destroyed outright, underlining how quickly the fight collapsed.
THE SIGNIFICANCE
With only four participants tied to the engagement, this was a small but costly loss rather than a fleet action. Even so, a Gila at this price point is never routine, and its destruction in Khankenirdia will have been felt by the pilot far more than by the region at large. For Missile Militia, it was a clean and expensive catch; for University of Caille, a reminder that one mistake in the wrong place can turn a high-value ship into a wreck in seconds.
