THE CLOSE-IN
Three attackers were directly involved in the kill. Kira Romor’s Proteus appears to have done the heaviest lifting before the finishing strike, while Aarnenen Vorri Tawate’s Arazu gave the hunt a classic lowsec shape: one ship to catch, one to hold, and one to end it. Avtorklif’s Redeemer landed the final blow, turning the ambush into a completed kill before the Gila could pull clear.
THE LOSSES
The Gila’s cargo tells its own story. More than 2,000 Mjolnir Fury Light Missiles and over 1,000 Triglavian Survey Databases were recovered, while other ammunition and support items were destroyed in the wreck. The split between destroyed and dropped value suggests the ship was carrying a meaningful fit and supplies, with 1.8 billion ISK destroyed and another 1.6 billion ISK recovered from the field.
WHY IT MATTERS
For a single ship loss, this was a costly and neatly executed hunt. LowSechnaya Sholupen did not need a large fleet to make an impression; they needed timing, tackle, and a heavy cloak-backed threat at the right moment.
