THE PRESSURE BUILDS
Veles Clade provided the hard edge of the attack, with six attackers listed against the target and support coming from Perun Clade and Vigilant Tyrannos assets. Damage was spread across a Striking Damavik, a Drifter Command Battleship, and Drifter Nullwarp Cruisers before the final strike came from a Striking Kikimora. The mix suggests the Gila was under sustained pressure rather than overwhelmed by a single hit, with the fight steadily tightening until the cruiser could no longer hold.
THE LOSSES
When the Gila broke, the cost was immediate and substantial. Roughly 775.7 million ISK was destroyed and another 256.6 million ISK dropped, taking the total value of the loss to 1 billion ISK. The wreck also scattered and destroyed a large missile and utility loadout, including Scourge Fury Light Missiles, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missiles, Nanite Repair Paste, and Triglavian Survey Databases, underlining that this was a ship fit for real combat rather than a disposable roam.
WHY IT MATTERS
For a small encounter, this was a sharp result: seven participants, one expensive cruiser lost, and a clear finish by Veles Clade in a system where no mistake seems to have gone unanswered. The presence of multiple allied attacker orgs suggests a coordinated hunt or opportunistic collapse around the Gila, and for the Principality of Soliara the result is simple enough. In AD184, the target went down before it could slip the net.
