A Golem worth 1.4 billion ISK was destroyed in AZN-D2 when Fraternity. cornered the Marauder and tore through it with a small but effective strike group. The loss left only a modest amount of loot behind, while most of the ship and fittings were consumed in the wreckage.

THE CATCH

The engagement in AZN-D2 was brief, but it ended with one of EVE’s most expensive mission-running hulls on the wrong side of the field. In a fight involving 10 total participants, Fraternity. landed on the Golem piloted by ppp1998 of Invidia Gloriae Comes and brought it down before the ship could escape the pressure closing around it.

THE DAMAGE

The destruction was heavily one-sided. Fraternity.’s attackers accounted for the full loss, with yaokc in a Caracal Navy Issue delivering the final blow after sustained damage from several nearby support ships. The Golem’s cruise missile ammunition and fittings were largely destroyed, leaving just 46.9 million ISK in recoverable value from a wreck that otherwise vanished into smoke and debris.

THE PRIZE

For Fraternity., the result was a clean and costly kill. The Golem is never a trivial target, and a 1.4 billion ISK loss always carries weight, even when the fight itself is small. The presence of multiple Exequror Navy Issue hulls alongside the damage dealers suggests a coordinated trap or close escort strike rather than a simple opportunistic volley.

THE CONSEQUENCE

In a region where single ships can represent a major investment, losses like this matter because they punish any moment of overexposure. AZN-D2 saw only a short exchange, but it was enough to strip Invidia Gloriae Comes of a valuable Marauder and give Fraternity. a sharp, visible success in the local fight.
