A second Fenrir has been brought down in Uedama, this time under fire from L.E.G.I.O.N in a fast, punishing strike that left the freighter wrecked and 1.4B ISK poorer in an instant.

THE CATCH

The loss unfolded in Uedama, a system that has already seen one Fenrir cut apart only a day earlier. This renewed clash ended the same way: with another freighter unable to make it through, and with L.E.G.I.O.N credited for the destruction. The target, guido780 of The Drag Queen Mafia, was flying a Fenrir valued at 1.4B ISK when the attack came together.

THE BREAK

The attacking force was substantial for a single target, with 29 participants recorded in the wider engagement and 25 attackers credited on the final blow chain. The damage was applied by a group of Coercers, with zLegion 18 landing the final shot in a Coercer of its own. That suggests a coordinated ambush rather than a lucky pass-by, with multiple destroyers piling damage onto the freighter until its defenses gave way.

THE LOSSES

The Fenrir did not escape with much of its cargo either. Only 10M ISK appears to have been recovered, while several fitted modules were destroyed outright, including a Men's Capsuleer Day XVIII T-Shirt and multiple defensive and mobility-related items. For a freighter, the real loss is always the hull, and here the 1.4B ISK ship was the prize the hunters came for.

THE SIGNIFICANCE

Taken together with the earlier Uedama loss, this follow-up strike suggests the route remains dangerous for capital-sized haulers moving through the system. The headline figures are stark, but the more important detail is the persistence: once a Fenrir has been caught here, another has now fallen again under the same pressure. For anyone planning to force a large freighter through Uedama, that should read as a warning.
